When you open Premiere then, under File, click on Open or Import, Premiere looks first in the Premiere file in the Adobe folder on the C (System) drive. As all my video and audio clips and AVI files are on my D (audio-video) drive, I'd like it to open first (default). Someone told me once how to do this but I've forgotten. Create a shortcut to the Premiere executable on your desktop or wherever you like. Right click on the icon and select properties. Click on Shortcut and then type in the drive and directory that you want in the "Start in" box. It will now use this directory as the default when you open a file or import a file.
