I ned to create "pixellated" faces on videos. Same effect you would see on "Cops" or other news type shows. I'm stymied how to do this with Premiere. Can I do it? AM I looking in the wrong areas?? I'm sorta new at using Premiere, and may just not be in the right spots. Thanks You can do this in Premiere, although After Effects does give more control. But you need to use Track Matte, not Image Matte, if any movement of the mask is required. Garbage Mattes using the corners of the page peel window in transparency are limited to four corner points linked by straight lines and are not readily changed with time, so they are not really suitable for this application - more for split screen work. Put a second copy of the face clip on a higher superimpose track, apply a suitable pixelating filter of your choice, select track matte transparency, and put a suitable mask shape to cover the face on the next higher track. Animate the mask as required using motion to track the face.
